She ist the granddaughter of Douglas and Tessie Rivers. Her lastname is maybe Rivers, but her firstname ist never mentioned. She traveled to India to get to know what happend to Olivia, Douglas’ first wife.

She is the first wife of the narrator’s grandfather. They lived in Satipur, where Olivia spend most of the time in their house.
Douglas
Douglas is the narrator’s grandfather and was born in India. There he worked as a junior officer in the British government.
The Nawab
He became a prince when he was 15, when his father died by a stroke. He was married to a woman named Zahira but not living with her.
